Fertile ground for Marist Brothers

Save Novitiate has eleven new Brothers

24/06/2010: Rwanda

On 12th June 2010 the Save novitiate will live to remember that prayers of diverse Marists worldwide has produced the eleven Brothers. Africa too proves to be a fertile ground for Marist Brothers. The novices are: Patrick from Congo, Michael from Malagasy, Patient from Congo, Richard the novice Master, Patrick from Tanzania, Sixte from Rwanda, Emile from Congo, Modeste from Malagasy, Jules from Congo, Pascal from Congo, John from Rwanda and Narisoa from Malagasy. Anyone who says Brotherhood is not appealing in Africa will be proved wrong because of the evidence and proof of the eleven Brothers from Save in Rwanda.

Congratulations is on the mouth of everybody for the new apostles in the Lord´s vineyard. Thanks Brothers for discovering the beauty of the Marist life. Thank you for your generosity to be at the service of the youth especially those most neglected according to the vision of Champagnat. Today as you walk around you see many young people in ignorance of religious truth. See the defection of youth from one independent church to the other. They are thirsty for God. Tell them that remaining in the Catholic they can also find God and in other churches too. The catholic youth today need models of those who have consecrated their life for the sake of the Gospel. They are tired of hearing. They want to see if it is possible to follow Jesus in a very radical way. Tell them that it is possible through your good example. Remember Champagnat said example should be pre-occupation number one for all of us Brothers.

We shall always follow you with our prayers. God bless you.

Brother Simeon Banda, fms, Matola, Mozambique.
