Course for the Marist laity

12/06/2007: Brazil

The Province of Brasil Centro-Sul has created a Course on Marist Spiritual Patrimony for lay Marist collaborators. It consists of a course at university level, recognised by the Pontifical University of Paraná, the PUC-PR, structured in three modules with seventy-two hours of teaching. The Course requires class attendance and during the time between the modules the possibility is offered of doing research and extending one’s knowledge through the Internet.

The first module concluded at the start of May. The second is planned for the month of August and the third for December.

The Course is reserved to members of the Marist laity of the Province of Brasil Centro-Sul. There has been a great deal of interest shown in it: thirty-five places were offered and there were sixty-three enrolments. Brother Antônio Strobino is the co-ordinator of this Course, linked to the Centre of Spirituality and Marist Life of the Province’s Bureau of Pastoral Ministry.
