Brother Provincial started his speech by expressing his appreciation to all the Marist Family Members in Nyakato – Mwanza , Tanzania . He especially congratulated all the Champagnat Lay Members for their efforts. He said that, he knew and heard of this Group in Rwanda during the Late Brother Clements’s Funeral, he also saw the pictures of the occasion which to him was the sign of co-operation and unity between the Champagnat Lay Members and Marist Brothers in Nyakato Parish.

Brother Provincial explained in short his feelings and good wishes to the Champagnat Members in Nyakato Parish whereas he mentioned right away that this was the first Lay Marist Members Group in our Province. He urged all the Members to grow up our Marist Charism and to continue to share and keep alive Marcelline’s dream of bringing young people closer to Jesus and Mary.

As pointed out in the introduction, Brother Valentine introduced the word of the farewell and thanks from the Postulants. This point meant the present Marist Postulants were through with their first stage formation in Mwanza, and they were supposed to leave for Rwanda in the next 2 weeks to carry on the following stage, so they were ere to say Good-bye to Champagnat Lay Members of the Family of Marist and Brothers as well.

One of the Marist Postulants on behalf of his colleagues said farewell and thanks to everyone, but remarkably to the Champagnat Lay Members who had handled them like their Lovely Parents and who regarded them like very special youths in the community. The Marist Postulants passed their thanks to everyone who helped them to advance towards their goals for all the time they have stayed in Mwanza.

They finally finished their greetings by wishing everyone a Great Blessing from God who repays for the good. They promised to pray for the success of everyone.
After the address of Marist Postulants, the following point was put across: thanks and best wishes from the Champagnat Lay Members.
